Yesterday when Kemal picked Trysten up from school he got the "look" from the teacher. She stated that it has been a challenge to get him to do his work, especially writing. She mentioned that he wants to talk about the way things were done at Franklin. She also said that he wanted to go back to his kindergarten class. She made sure that Trysten was present when saying these things. She told him that I want you to hear this too. She also said that he needs to practice writing, especially his numbers. She said that she often sees this problem with children who are left handed. At least the writing problem. She then said it's been a little tough, there have been moments of tears from him. Kemal assured her we too struggle through tears to get him to do book work at home.

I believe this was anticipated; a little persistance will hopefully remedy the situation! Eventually he'll realize there's no way around doing his bookwork and with enough encouragement he might discover it can be fun...afterall, he's already a story teller!
